Foil boarding is a great way to extend your time on the water. Because of the drastic reduction in drag foiling can be done at lower speeds or with less power than is required for planing craft. Because the board itself is above the water's surface and the wing is submerged it can be done in conditions that would not be otherwise enjoyable and without the pounding that chop causes.
